Labor shortage or corporate greed?
During the past couple of months I have had the rather unfortunate duty of caring for a loved one during a multi day hospital stay. This happened at two different hospitals in the same city. One hospital (state university hospital) seemed fully staffed and provided great care. The other hospital (a for-profit hospital) was never fully staffed and though the nurses all were competent and hard working, the quality of care really suffered. I have to ask, is it a labor shortage or corporate greed?

Just saw a post on facebook that asked what comes to mind when you see this picture. I thought back to going to the computer store to purchase 4mb of RAM and the store had to get it out of the safe and of meeting a guy selling new computer parts out of his car. From him I purchased a 33.6 baud modem to upgrade my old 14.4, if felt like making a drug deal.
What I Learned 12-02-22
Yesterday someone on here commented and posted a link to a “what I learned today” list. I thought that was a wonderful idea and thought I’d create a similar list using micro blog posts.
Today I learned, it’s now possible to chat with an AI Bot. I can see the day coming where AI will replace jobs ie: customer service rep.
